Walter Motor History: Tubular Motor Manufacturing Since 2003

Before Walter Motor was formally established, Mr. Jinhua Zhou and his team had already accumulated early technical experience in tubular motor stators and rotors. This early component background helped the team enter the rolling shutter and sun shading motor field before the company’s official foundation.

This early experience in core motor components gave the team a deep understanding of motor structure, electromagnetic performance, production consistency, and long-term reliability, forming the technical foundation for Walter Motor’s later development as a professional tubular motor manufacturer.

In 2003, the team purchased a factory from the local government and established Jiaxing Walter Mech Electrical Co., Ltd., marking the formal beginning of Walter Motor’s company history and manufacturing journey.

In 2004, Walter Motor further expanded the production of stators and rotors for tubular motors and supplied core components to major domestic motor manufacturers. In 2005, the company began manufacturing complete tubular motor products, transforming from a component manufacturer into a complete tubular motor supplier.

In 2012, Walter Motor moved into a new factory, strengthening its production capacity, process control, and manufacturing system.

A major industry milestone came in 2013, when Walter Motor served as the first drafting unit and core leading party for the Chinese national standard “Tubular Drives for Rolling Shutters and Similar Equipment.” This role reflected the company’s technical experience and its contribution to the standardization of the tubular motor industry.

In 2015, Walter Motor was recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise, showing its continued investment in technology, product development, and manufacturing improvement.

In 2016, the company was officially listed on China’s National Equities Exchange and Quotations, with stock code 836753, further strengthening its corporate transparency and long-term development foundation.

By 2024, Walter Motor’s annual production and sales exceeded 1.9 million tubular motors, demonstrating its large-scale manufacturing capability and market recognition.

In 2025, Walter Motor was selected as a national-level Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative “Little Giant” Enterprise, recognizing its professional focus, manufacturing strength, and innovation capability in the tubular motor industry.
