Which tubular motor is suitable for roller shutters?
For roller shutters, Walter usually recommends 35mm, 45mm or 59mm motor classes depending on shutter size, tube diameter and weight. YYGL45S, YYGL45R, YYGL45M and YYGL59M are common starting points.
What motor should be used for roller blinds?
Small indoor roller blinds may use the WM25BR battery motor, while larger roller blinds often use 35mm AC models such as YYGL35S, YYGL35R or YYGL35E depending on control requirements.
Can the same motor be used for zip screens and awnings?
Some 45mm and 59mm motor families can be considered for both applications, but final selection depends on tube size, load, fabric tension, wind exposure, bracket structure and control configuration.
When is manual override necessary?
